Dispatch Assistant, Transportation Company

One of the largest privately owned trucking companies in the US, Transport Investments Inc., is seeking an Assistant in the Dispatch Department for one of it’s divisions in Pittsburgh, PA.
Requirements:
Primary responsibilities for this position are to issue advances for fuel.
Support Central Dispatch by clearing outside carriers
Setting up outside shippers/brokers.
Providing excellent customer service to truck drivers and agents over the phone.
Make good judgments under pressure
The Dispatch Assistant must be able to handle a high volume of phone calls while maintaining a calm demeanor, have impeccable detail orientation and follow-through skills. A typing speed of a minimum of 45wpm is required.
The position is entry level with the opportunity for advancement.
Experience in the transportation industry and call-center environment is preferred.
