Advanced Emergency Care Technician Department: Emergency Schedule: Part-time Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends/holidays Hours: (64 hrs in two week pay pd) 8 & 12hr shifts Job Details: - High School Diploma or equivalent required
Functions as an integral member of the Emergency Department Team by assisting and supporting Emergency Department medical and nursing staff in the care of patients and their families by providing direct patient care activities and supportive functions. Some functions may include, but are not limited to the following: Obtain vital signs; performs phlebotomy; specimen collection; perform EKGs; BLS; application of cardiac electrodes; and patient transport. EDUCATION: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: N/A REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: PA Dept. of Health EMT/Paramedic, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, International Trauma Life Support or ITLS, and Act 33/34/73 Clearances. EVOC and First Response Hazmat preferred. EXPERIENCE (LENGTH AND SPECIFIC SKILL): Minimum:Completion of a paramedic training program. Preferred:One year paramedic experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Excellent customer service and communication skills.
