Enterprise Data Sales Manager (Manufacturing Vertical)
• Bachelors Degree in Business/Marketing/ Engineering/Information Systems/Computer Science or Telecommunications, or equivalent experience. MBA or MS preferred.
• 5 years technical solution sales and/or sales engineering experience, preference in Fortune 1000 companies.
• Technical solution sales experience into CIO organizations.
• Strong understanding of WAN data communications technologies including bridges, routers, gateways, multiplexers, packet switches, and TCP/IP networking protocol.
• Solid technical understanding of wireless networks, transmission of data over wireless networks and applications that utilize wireless technology.
• RFP experience for larger telecommunications and/or computer projects.
• Ability to communicate complex solutions effectively.
• Strong written and oral communications, including professional presentation experience, and ability to communicate complex technical solutions effectively.
• Financial acumen to generate comprehensive ROI and TCO models.
• Technical certifications, ex. CISCO networking a plus.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Vertical experience in the Manufacturing Vertical is preferred.
• Ability to manage work on multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
• Approximately 50% Travel Enterprise Data Sales Manager (EDSM) is the premier solution sales architect for Verizon Wireless. The EDSM collaborates with the Global Enterprise Manager (GEM) to successfully identify and secure data sales opportunities within accounts in the Manufacturing Vertical. The EDSM is responsible for leading the technical partnership across VZW, VZB, Vodafone, etc., to successfully develop data solutions that meet the needs of our Enterprise customers. The EDSM is also responsible for ensuring the data solutions are flawlessly implemented. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Architect complex wireless data solutions including software, electronic hardware configuration, machine to machine communications and device management.
• Utilize and understand telecommunications networks and TCP/IP networking protocols; wireless air link protocols and transmission of data over wireless networks including: Personal Area Networks, Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks; Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) and UCC techniques.
• Work with industry specific software developers, OEM's and systems integrators.
• Partner with GEM to increase sales funnel and grow data sales opportunities, conduct needs analysis, and develop data sales strategy for specified account module.
• Develop and maintain a daily sales funnel including detailed business opportunities, hardware, software, and service opportunities that leads to attainment of sales/quota/targets.
• Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding VZW products, plans, services, and solutions to proactively present to and leverage with customers and sales teams.
• Present to and interact with C-level leaders internally and externally on various wireless data solutions targeting the needs of the customer. Develop and provide professional presentations to audiences ranging in size from small to large, both internal and external. Provide support on-site during customer meetings, demonstrations and trials.
• Provide vertical industry subject matter expertise for the Manufacturing vertical and represent VZW within assigned vertical industry associations and trade shows.
• Develop comprehensive RFP responses and ROI models in conjunction with GEM and data partners.
• Maintain an annual expense budget within VZW guidelines and policy.
Incumbent may be located at a Verizon Wireless location, preferably in the Boston, MA, Wilmington, MA, Laurel, MD, Trevose, PA, and Warren, NJ areas.
