Job Type :Full Time Career Level :Experienced (Non-Manager) Education :Bachelor's Degree Job Description : Information Systems Engineer: Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation (BMPC) is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its Information Technology team. The successful candidate will work in a technically diverse and dynamic environment with a team of system engineers and system administrators in all aspects of operating a large Microsoft network consisting of Microsoft Windows Servers and Clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for merging multi-site user community needs with available resources to develop and implement solutions that continue to add functionality, increase capacity, and improve performance of the IT services being provided.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Microsoft Windows Server and Client testing, imaging, implementation, management and upgrade. * Identify and recommend server and Client hardware requirements for the Enterprise. * Microsoft Active Directory and group Policy Object management. * Utilize Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007. * Develop, document and establish Standard Operating Procedures. * Develop, test, update and implement continuity of operations processes. * Resolve escalated Help Desk issues. * Cross train other System Administrators. * Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies.
Job Requirements : Education: * Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or erience: * Minimum of five years of professional experience in IT which should include managing an Enterprise Microsoft Windows environment. * Must posses strong oral and written communication skills. * Must have an understanding of Windows XP/7, Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, and Group Policy Object Management. * Understanding of computer network concepts. * Experience with the management, maintenance, support, upgrade and administration of an Enterprise Microsoft Windows environment. * Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution experience and skills. * Ability and experience in applying and maintaining patch levels and security ferred Qualifications: * Prior experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Domains, Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 or Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 is strongly preferred. * Experience in hardening of systems through implementation of Cyber Security principles, policies and requirements. * Experience with Scripting technologies such as VB Script or PowerShell. * Experience in the administration, implementation and maintenance of virtualization technologies (VMare technologies preferred). * Experience working across groups or physical locations in a collaborative environment. * Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative grade point average. * Master of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. * Prior project management experience, demonstrated leadership and ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
