Position Summary:
To plan, coordinate, and direct the development, implementation, and operation of information technology solutions to meet the business organization's business objectives. To Provide Leadership and supervision of technical staff. To develop and maintain IT standards and departmental policies. To manage "hands on" and perform a variety of tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily activities of the company's IT, including systems administration, WAN/LAN networking, and ERP/Business applications.
• Create and maintain budgets, maintain asset records, acquire and manage contracts related to equipment and vendors.
• Define the long-term strategy and direction for the IT organization in a manufacturing environment.
• Evaluate current operations and implement process improvement.
• Work directly with end users and management to identify requirements for Enterprise business applications and IT infrastructure.
• Interface with management, internal organizations, and vendors for selection and installation of timely and cost effective IT solutions.
• Provide server administration- monitor, maintain and troubleshoot windows servers and VMware virtual infrastructure. Manage data backup and recovery, network storage, security and email. Achieve uptime of 99.99% on all critical systems.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion % Of Time
• Radius Administration
• Create and maintain documentation of procedures and technologies in use. Prepare backup/disaster recovery plans.
• Evaluation of new hardware, software, technologies & trends
• Other duties as assigned and specified by Manager
Requirements:
Requirements
• BS degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related business discipline with appropriate exposure to IT concepts, processes, and systems.
• Technical certification required (at least one - MCITP, VCP, MCTS, etc.)
• Minimum of 4 years windows server experience, including history with server migration
• Proven VMware/virtual server infrastructure experience
• Hands on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking technologies
• Ability to be on call as required
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be well organized, efficient, detail oriented and able to work as a member of a team
