The Marketing Communications Specialist assists global marketing and sales management with communications vehicles to effectively represent the companys products and services to customers and prospects.
Essential Functions:
1. Receives work assignments from associate director, marketing communications based on current needs, experience of the specialist and specialists particular strengths in communications channel.
2. Meets with appropriate marketing representative to discuss communication needs and determine best way to promote marketing campaigns.
3. Edits text from R&D and/or marketing staff or, in some cases, researches and writes content for marketing campaigs.
4. Obtains brand reviews.
5. Works with internal resources and third-party vendors to develop creative, execute print and other means to publish materials.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. A bachelors degree in journalism, advertising, or communications.
2. At least five years of solid writing and editing experience in a corporate environment, preferably promoting life science research or complementary products.
3. Superior presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
4. Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
5. High attention to detail and consistency is required
6. Must be self-motivated and results oriented
7. Technical writing experience is a plus
8. Search engine optimization experience is a plus
