This position is responsible for analyzing sales history and market data, and recommending opportunities for growth amongst product categories. This includes communicating with other departments and assisting in the development of the company's merchandise assortment plan. Develop, execute, and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans that support the company's financial, product, and marketing objectives. Prepare pre-season plans; financial sales, gross margin, and inventory, consistent with the company's top-down goals. Work closely with the buyer(s) to review in season product trends and performance, develop revised projections, and recommend adjustments to the season's plan to maximize sales and profitability.
Duties:
Assist with the Management of the OTB; Review sales and margin from previous week forecast Project current week and future weeks for sales and margin Forecast projections by week to lower level of classification Review item selling to make recommendation for markdowns Review flow of merchandise
Reporting and Projects
Actively participate in weekly Business review meetings Create, maintain, & distribute merchandise sales reports. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support merchandise planning and decision making. Special projects as assigned.
Work with the planner to complete vendor plans maintaining constant dialog with merchant team regarding assortments, inventory flow, costing and overall financial plan.
Build ladders for Key items/E3 Finalize 6 month financial with merchant/planning team Ensure all data is correct and sinked with SAS (MFP, MVP, MAP) plans as revisions are made Review assortment and plans with DMM and Planning Director Review planning recap, assortment and plans with GMM and SVP/VP Planning
