Senior Floor Planner (Sports Marketing/Retail)

As our Company's Sporting Goods continues to grow, so does the role and function of the Visual Space and Floor Planning teams. We are looking for 3 Senior level Floor Planners to support a new Space and Floor Planning initiative. As a Senior Floor Planner you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of store floor plans within the JDA Software. They will evaluate space productivity within each store specific drawing and make recommendations that support our company's Corporate Brand and improve financial results. As a senior it will be necessary to provide leadership and direction to Floor Analysts to ensure all strategies are executed to a high degree of accuracy.

Coordinate with the merchant organization (DMM, GMM, VP of Replenishment) to translate their strategic vision into store specific and prototypical floor plans with consideration for brand image, space allocation, category adjacencies, item placement and customer experience

Supervise Floor Planning Analysts. Meet with direct reports on a regular basis providing guidance and support to manage workload and timelines. Monitor quality results of space and merchandise plans prior to publication to ensure all plans are accurate and executable at store level. Collaborate with Sr Space Analysts to ensure all planogram/store assignments are correct prior to completion of floor plans.

Develop and produce Heat Maps showing space productivity. Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations to Space, Visual and Merchant teams that identify potential opportunities to improve space productivity.

Create forecast model Heat Maps and provide space recommendations for potential new stores and remodels. Coordinate with space and floor planning teams to ensure that merchandise and space plans are complete and accurate for new stores, remodels, and prototypes.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams (Buyers, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Store Operations, Risk and LP) Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop knowledge.

Collaborate with total Floor Plan teams to provide fact based recommendations on space reallocation to resolve conflicting requests between departments

Manage the completion of Special Projects as assigned by supervisor (special store projects, new store reviews, strategy expansions, and department resets, etc)


Education:

Bachelor's Degree: Business, Management, Merchandising, or Marketing


Experience:

5-7 years

Space planning, store design, field retail, merchandising, buying, inventory management, or related role

Microsoft: Outlook/Access/Word/Visio/Excel/PowerPoint

JDA Space Planning or industry space planning software (SAS, Spaceman, Apollo) or equivalent experience with Planning, allocations or buying

AutoCAD

In depth knowledge of Space & layout practices

Precious Supervisory experience
